Rare Orchid (Qi Lan) Oolong
Rare Orchid (Qi Lan) Oolong
Rare Orchid, or Qi Lan is a type of rock oolong tea, or Yancha, introduced to Wuyi Mountain in the 1990s. Qi Lan is a great and resilient tea grown in Wuyi, and loved by growers and tea drinkers alike. These curly, brown strips are dark, and produce a light-medium yellow colour, with mineral notes from growing in rocky terroir, a charcoal taste from being roasted 3 times, and hints of cinnamon and orchid. A smooth and perfect oolong for cooler and rainier days.
